Profanity and business calls (Do mix)
So driving home this afternoon on 95 South and I’m on a call with a co-worker reviewing one of our strategic business plans. I’m rocking 70 MPH with an 18 wheeler about 30 yards ahead of me in the right lane with very light traffic. All is well and I am cruising along when I hear what sounds like a rocket propelled grenade (RPG) go off and I see shrapnel flying towards me and Stella as...
Up and at it early this morning for the final stretch home. Only 2 statea left, West Virginia and Virginia.
From the lyrics of Motley Crue’s Home Sweet Home song. “Just one more night and I’m comin’ off this long and winding road. I’m on my way, I’m on my way, home sweet home.” I can’t wait to see Christina and the kids and share some stories from the road :)
Well hello there Kentucky. Your fried chicken is good. I wonder if they call it Kentucky Fried Chicken in Kentucky or just fried chicken?
Headed to Kentucy this morning. Next stop is the Maker’s Mark distillery for a tour.
Another great story. Charles in 2nd gear stopped at a gravel 8 inch dip on the side of the road rocking for 5 minutes trying to get out before realizing he was 2nd gear. Bahaha
Late night arrival to Council Bluff, Iowa means a late start this morning. Stepping off for 450 miles to St. Louis, Missouri today. Weather looks good so far.
Funniest thing that has happened so far today. We headed out at 6 this AM and Charles chose to put his chaps on because it was chilly. He decided to not button the bottoms. 10 miles down the interstate at 80 MPH both legs came unzipped and I pulled up beside him and started making crow sounds at him (cuhcaww cucaaww). We were both in tears from laughing so hard.
Best thing overheard today. We see a big sign that says “Jesus Saves” so Charles turns to me and says “Jesus has a great financial advisor”. I shot Red Bull out my nose laughing…
So today is no panties Wednesday in the town we are staying in. I’m not quite sure how I feel about that. It’s a little bit chilly out. :)
Time to ride home
Heading out on the 2,000 mile ride home this morning. Today we have 600 miles to cover. Throttle engaged!!!
